7-29-15 OCS Class 010-15 Field Leadership Exercise
(FORT BENNING, Ga.) Candidates participate in a ten day Field Leadership Exercise, designed to test their leadership abilities and Small Unit tactics deep in the woods near McBride Bridge on Fort Benning. The scenarios that the Junior Officers Conduct allows them to test their mental agility and sound judgment. According to the assigned Platoon Mentors- they are given very little time to plan their missions- but they MUST execute no matter what. They must use their competence in their plan and be able to clearly and concisely communicate that plan to subordinates and then take that plan and execute it on the objective. (Photos by: Patrick A.
